Hello there. Thank you for visiting my brand-spanking-new blog. For both those of you who are following me here from Myspace, and for those of you who are reading me for the first time, welcome to another of my corners of the internet.
Let's get right to it, shall we. My name is Mr. Pythagoras, and I'm a run-a-holic. This blog is completely dedicated to logging my training and racing. (As opposed to the blog I keep on Myspace, where I log my e-mails to the Really Big Show, make societal comments, and excercise my right to free potty-mouth speech.) My intention is to go into more detail, I mean geeky detail, that people reading my other blog probably couldn't care less about. I've seen many athletic blogs here on Blogger, so I'm hoping it will be a better fit here. Plus, there are some blogs I've been reading on here for a while, and I haven't been able to leave any comments because I didn't have an account.
So on that note: I was able to squeeze in a run last night. I think it was about 3.5 miles, but I'll need to check. Out for about 40 minutes in the snow, in the evening, in the blowing snow, in the cold, with snow in the eyes. Did I mention snow? It was just like the old days. I used to live and run in downtown Columbus. I would head out in the winter wearing shorts and a couple sweatshirts. Nice fast cold runs are great. I've been inside all winter and I've missed it. There was no sidewalk, except for a few spots. And even then, the wind was trying to fill them back in again. I've run this route enough to be able to guess the sidewalk location, and I got it right most of the way. But every once in a while, my ankle would twist as my foot would slide from a buried grass edge to the pavement. Snow running can be fun, but it's dangerous too.
That's all for now. I just wanted to get this thing up and running. Hopefully, I will be able to make new posts as often as I would like. I'm afraid it might be hard though, trying to maintain two blogs. I guess we'll just have to see how it goes.
Mr. P
